- 1. DOMINGO DE RESURRECCIÓN
Cada año por domingo de resurrección celebramos con toda la congregación a las 5:30am de un estudio especial donde recordamos la salvación que nuestro Señor Jesús nos regalo venciendo a la muerte, luego nos servimos un desayuno juntos con todos los hermanos.
- Easter Sunday
Every year for Easter Sunday we celebrate at 5:30 a.m. with a special teaching where we remember the gift of salvation that our Lord Jesus gave to us by conquering death. After that, we serve and have breakfast together with the congregation.
- 2. CENAS JUDIAS POR SEMANA SANTA
Aprovechando este tiempo cuando la gente se dispone mas a Dios, se hizo dos cenas judías donde tuvimos mucha aceptación por parte de los hermanos que invitaron a sus amigos y familiares, muchas de las personas aceptaron a Cristo como su salvador, y otras ya están con la semilla plantada en sus corazones.
- Jewish Dinners During Holy Week
Taking advantage of this time of year when people are more open to hear about God, we gave two Jewish Dinners. This had a good response from the congregation who invited their family and friends. Many of the people accepted Christ as their savior and others have had a seed planted in their hearts.
- 3. CAMPAMENTO CRISTO VIVE
Tuvimos el campamento del 15 al 17 de abril en un orfanato de chicos especiales llamado “Mensajeros de la Paz”, gracias a Dios este tiene muchas comodidades para ellos, como rampas para las sillas de ruedas, baños especiales, y personas que los cuidan sin embargo carecen del cariño que como chicos necesitan, y sobretodo carecían del conocimiento que existe un Salvador que les ama, como son y que ya dio su vida por cada uno de ellos,. Gracias a Dios tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir con ellos esos tres días que fueron una gran bendición también para nosotros, tuvimos un tiempo de dramas, títeres, de música, de juegos, además cada consejero tenia que alimentarle y si era necesario de asearlo. Al final oramos por cada uno de ellos, y pedimos al Señor que los bendiga y proteja, además hicieron la oración de fe, solo Dios sabe como está su corazón ahora. Esperamos volver y visitarlos y sobretodo tenerlos en nuestras oraciones. Alabado sea Dios!
- Christ Lives Camp
We held a camp called “Peace Messengers” from April 15th to the 17th at an orphanage for special children. Thanks to God the orphanage was well equipped for the children with ramps for wheel chairs, special bathrooms, and people who took care of them affectionately which is something they don’t always get. Above all, they also needed to know that a Savior who loves them the way they are exists, and that he gave his life for each one of them. Thanks to God we had the chance to share this message with them for three days, and it was a great blessing for us too. We also had dramas, puppets, music, and games. Each counselor also had to feed them, and when necessary to take care their hygienic needs. At the end of our time, we prayed for each one of them and we asked the Lord to bless and protect them. They also prayed the prayer of faith and only God knows what is in their hearts now. We hope to go back and visit them, and above all to keep them in our prayers. May God be praised!
- 4. CENA JUDIA CON ARTISTAS DEL CONCIERTO
Días antes del concierto “Ama la vida” pudimos realizar dos cenas judías para estos jóvenes cantantes, la gran mayoría por no decir todos no habían escuchado la palabra de Dios tan clara como lo pudieron hacer ese día, cada uno de ellos estuvo atento a cada palabra que Fredy compartía, y se les explico el porque del concierto, sabemos que Dios tiene grandes planes con ellos.
- Jewish Dinner with Concert Artists
A few days before the “Love Life” concert, we were able to give two Jewish dinners for the singers. The majority, if not all of them, had never heard the word of God so clearly taught before and each one of them paid close attention as Freddy gave the message. He was also able to explain to them the motives behind the concert. We know that God has great plans for them.
- 5. CONCIERTO “ AMA LA VIDA”
Este concierto se ha venido organizando desde algún tiempo atrás, el nombre tiene una historia entre líneas, en nuestra ciudad hay muchos suicidios de jóvenes adolecentes, es por ello que el objetivo del concierto era transmitir lo valioso que es la vida que Didos nos regalo, que podemos hacer mucho, que debemos ser agradecidos por las bendiciones diarias, y mucho mas.
En el escenario estuvieron muchos artistas cuencanos, compartiendo el mensaje además otros artistas nacionales reconocidos como Karla Kanora, Papa Chango, y un gran artista cristiano como es Gerardo Mejía, el al final hizo su presentación y el llamado a los jóvenes, muchos de los cuales aceptaron a Cristo como su Salvador.
- “Love Life” Concert
This concert had been organized a long time ago and the name of it has a story behind it. In our city there are many teen suicides and for that reason one objective of the concert was to communicate the message of how valuable each life is that God gave us life as a gift. Along with that were the ideas of how much we can achieve and that we should be grateful for the daily blessings that we have.
There were many Cuencan singers at the concert who also shared the message. There were also nationally recognized artists such as Karla Kanora, Papa Chango, and Gerardo Mejia, a great Christian singer. The concert concluded with his presentation and a call to accept Christ as savior, to which many young people responded.
6. MINISTERIOS
Cada ministerio gracias a Dios sigue firme, siguen creciendo con personas que son llamadas para el ministerio, sin embargo hay alguno que todavía necesitan mas ayuda como por ejemplo el ministerio de niños, visitas a SOLCA, las mujeres, pero sabemos que el Señor bendecirá las personas necesarias.
Sobre nuestro deseo de ampliar la carpa debemos comentarles que no será posible ya que el dueño del sitio donde se encuentra la iglesia nos ha dado un plazo de un año y medio para desalojar el lugar. Así que pedimos sus oraciones para encontrar un lugar adecuado, para seguirnos congregando.
- Ministries
Thanks to God all of the ministries are going well and are continuing to grow with persons who are called to fulfill each ministry. However, there are some ministries that still need more help such as children’s ministries, the cancer hospital visitation ministry, and women’s ministries. In spite of this, we trust that the Lord will bless us and provide us with people who are still needed.
Regarding our desire to expand the chapel, we should mention that this will not be possible since the landlord of the property has given us a year and a half to vacate the area. Therefore, we ask for your prayers that we could find another adequate place to continue meeting.
